Hi, I'm Davut.

From enterprise operations and mobile products to AI, music technology and hardware — I turn complex work into products people can use with ease.

01 — About

Code, sound, and a bit of solder.

I'm Davut Engin. I hold a bachelor's degree in Computer Technology and Information Systems from Bilkent University and an associate degree in Computer Hardware from Başkent University. Over the years I have worked on problems spanning finance and operations, healthcare, manufacturing, banking and electronic document management — as well as mobile apps, AI and hardware integrations.

Software is my profession, but my relationship with technology has never been limited to working hours. The curiosity that began in childhood — taking apart televisions, cameras and almost any device I could get my hands on — is still very much alive. I enjoy not only seeing that something works, but understanding how and why it works, uncovering the relationships between its parts, and using what I learn to build something new. That continuing sense of discovery is what keeps my work feeling as engaging as a lifelong hobby.

Rather than tying myself to one technology or platform, I focus on the problem at hand. Sometimes that means bringing desktop, web and mobile together; sometimes it means making software communicate with turnstiles, barcode readers, displays, printers or specialized devices. My background in hardware, networking and systems helps me think about software not only as an interface, but as something that lives inside a real operating environment.

Today I apply that experience to multi-agent AI systems, mobile products and music technology. Kemençe is my main instrument; I understand the tuning and playing principles of many instruments, and I have tried most of them myself.

I also have practical camera experience a step above casual hobby level: I have shot music videos and photography work with crop-sensor cameras. The curiosity behind it stays the same: turning a working idea into a product people genuinely want to use.

02 — Professional Experience

Different industries. Real users. Systems that run.

Without naming clients or projects, the common thread across my work is that these systems sit at the heart of day-to-day operations — and reach well beyond the screen into the real world.

Currently

I am building an on-premises, multi-agent AI product.

A Python-based platform that can work with local or external large language models: agentic loops, document intelligence, dynamic tool and MCP integrations, multi-agent collaboration and a chat interface come together in one system.

01

At the core of finance and operations

I spent years working on a comprehensive desktop system for domestic and international expenses, currency conversion, budgeting, inventory and reporting.

VB.NET · .NET Remoting · SQL Server · RDLC
02

A mobile product for thousands

I built and shipped an iOS and Android app used by thousands inside a large organization. It integrated with cafeteria and turnstile access, while the path from code change to signed release, distribution and in-app update prompt was fully automated.

Flutter · Apple Enterprise · Android · Fastlane · TFS/Azure DevOps · CI/CD
03

Transforming documents and data

I spent a long time working on an electronic document management system used by thousands and built tools to migrate data from legacy platforms. On the web side, I worked within a single-page application architecture and CI/CD-based development process.

ASP.NET · C# · JavaScript · SPA · Data Migration · CI/CD
04

Software connected to the factory floor

I developed a barcode-enabled production planning system with web and desktop components. It was designed not just for the office, but to operate inside the physical flow of manufacturing.

ASP.NET · C# · Web/Desktop · Barcode Integration
05

Turkey's first public hospital appointment system

I built and operated a national ID-verified appointment system for a public hospital. In the same domain, I also developed a Delphi application that printed invoices through a dot-matrix printer.

ASP.NET · C# · Delphi · Dot-Matrix Printer
06

Backends, devices and bridges across generations

I developed Java Spring backends in banking. I also built a Java Applet for specialized hardware, a multitasking plugin-DLL-based device data transfer application, and a software-only digital queuing system.

Java · Spring · Java Applet · Delphi 7 · Plugin DLL · WPF · ASP.NET
07

Infrastructure, security and observability

I gained hands-on experience with proxies, firewalls, Active Directory, Linux, Windows and macOS, and built applications that detected virus propagation and performed cleanup. I integrated Grafana and Prometheus-based monitoring into existing software, developed libraries that exposed Prometheus metrics for selected systems, and used OpenTelemetry in telemetry pipelines.

Networking · Security · Prometheus · Grafana · OpenTelemetry · Observability
How I build products

Instead of saying “the user did not understand,” I first ask whether I understood and explained the problem well enough. I aim to build software people can grasp with the least possible effort — keeping the technical complexity behind the screen, where it belongs.
